Listing some of Nigeria’s top comedy films to ever be released is your favorite source Video Moja! The Nollywood comedy films released are countless. Some of them however, will live on in our hearts and memories as the finest of comedy. Let’s remind ourselves of the best Naija comedy films.

First up is Osuofia in London. Starring one of Nigeria’s top actors, Nkem Owoh, this film will crack you up as Osuofia; a typical village guy takes his primitive customs to London in pursuit of his late brother’s inheritance. He does not understand the city life and its customs and his comic character is perfectly conveyed in this film.

Mr. Ibu (John Okafwor) is famous for his humor in the many series of Mr. Ibu films, which leave viewers with infectious chortle. Humor yourself with Mr. Ibu’s many comedies including Keziah, 9 wives, Mr. Ibu in London, Police Recruit, Mr. Ibu and His Son. The list is endless, and so is the laughter.

My in-law was yet another epic release in the world of Nollywood comedy. Starring is Nollywood’s favorite actor Nkem Owoh as the center of attention in the movie. He does an amazing job with his sense of humor as he spits lethal and uproarious jokes. He is not however the kind of in-law anyone would wish for from what we see in the movie.

Fishers of Men. A village mother has an affair with a married man in the course of mourning her husband; she seeks refuge in the city where her daughter is working. The spectacle does not end there! We all know Patience Ozokwor as one of Nigeria’s top funniest actors, and her endless drama combined with the likes of Desmond Elliot, Justus Esiri, Jennifer Eliogu, and Grace Amah makes the perfect comedy!

Native Son is definitely one comedy film to watch if you need a good laugh. A village girl Tounchukwu (played by Ini Edo) and a city girl Nerissa (Tonto Dikeh) fight over a man; (Igwe) Mike Ezuruonye and in the course of their fight, they accidentally burn the house of Igwe’s mother. The village elders decide to that they need to rebuild the hut as a punishment. So what happens when the two women are made to work together?
